First day in my old-new job

After holiday I came back to work. On my table there is a computer. We usually do not switch off the sceen, because when we are out of office, it happens automatically. When we come back, we have just to switch it on.

I came and wanted just to switch the screen on as I used to do every morning. This time it didn´t work, because on the screen there was nothing. I asked my chef what to do and she said that it happened sometimes and she didn´t know why.

Then she made a magic thing: she switched on the whole computer, not only the screen. Miracle! Now, when the comp is on, the screen works!

Tajomstvo

Tajomstvo je tajomstvom iba ak ňom vie jeden človek. Akonáhle o ňom vedia aspoň dvaja, prestáva byť tajomstvom, ale stáva sa vecou verejnou.

Coffee to go

Otváram diskusiu na tému: Vypila som kávu a stala som sa hyperaktívnou. Robím všetko možné okrem učenia.. to je tak, keď som ju zvyknutá piť iba v robote (zadarmo :)

Šedivý vlas

Keď som mala 18 rokov, našla som si prvý šedivý vlas. Celá zhrozená som bežala za mamou: Mami, mami, pozri čo sa mi stalo, som celá nešťastná, že už mám šedivý vlas.

A ona miesto povzbudenia odvetila: Tak si ho zafarbi fixkou.
Rodičov si človek fakt nevyberie ;)

A Day in Vienna

I have a sheet music which is called A Day in Vienna. But my live experience was much much better.

Linda, my former flat mate told me she would come to Vienna. At that time I had another visit from Germany, his plane was supposed to take off in that evening from Vienna too. An excellent occasion! I was really happy to see Linda, since we didn´t see each other for a long time. (Is 6 months a long time? :)

But! This was my best trip to Vienna. Really a cultural one. We wanted to visit the Hundertwasser house and then have a free programme, whatever it means. The house was really nice, we´ve spent there about 3 hours! I liked the non-straight floors. All the pictures. The best moment: sitting on a wooden bank, observing a drawing, talking about art, design, spirals. Then we found a shop with Hundertwasser´s postcards and got addicted on them ;) I will remember the Green Town forever.

After spending all my and Linda´s savings we went to the Vienna café. Thanks to Stefan, who lived in Vienna 8 months, we have visited the most beatiful café in the town. It had a niveau! Great pillars, ancient paintings on the walls and: a pianist.

While listening to the music we have choosen the specialities of the house. Pleasant conversation. I like when we don´t talk about important things. This was rather like: well, we saw each other yesterday, so there is no reason for serious discussion about what happened since yesterday.

An organ concert, a birthsday celebration on the street, some drinks in an Australian bar. Running on the train after midnight. Walking home from the train station. I have enjoyed it.

Visit from Europe

I got a call. Some friends are in Bratislava now. Surprise! They come from Latvia and Belarus, I wouldn´t expect it. So 5 of us met. Remembering good times in Germany. Visiting toilet so many times, because the beer was really tasteful - so did they say ;)

Why do students want to work and working people to be students? An ambivalent feeling. Like another world. I wished to be a student again. Once more, please ;)

Máj

Jar! Bola som v parku a všade naokolo boli rozkvitnuté lúky plné maličkých margarétok. Bielych a žltých. Nedokázala som ich spočítať. Sedela som na lavičke a na chrbát a vlasy mi svietilo slnko. Milujem ten pocit.

Stretla som náhodou kamaráta, ktorý študuje filmovú réžiu. Takmer sme vymysleli scenár k novému filmu. Lenže zašlo slnko. Zozimilo sa. Minula sa minerálka.

Zvláštne, keď si prisadne na lavičku niekto, koho poznám aj nepoznám. Povedal, že sa mu darí dobre. Ale znelo to osamelo. Niekto má dar, že sa rozhovor netočí okolo povrchností. A čas chodiť po parku, hľadať lavičku na ktorú sa dá prisadnúť.

Wort des Tages

Wenn ich in Deutschland war, hatte ich fast jeden Tag ein neues Wort gelernt. Wort des Tages. Die Kriterien eines neuen Wortes sind wie folgend:

1/ Das Wort kommt im Gespräch/Kontakt mit Leuten (meistens Deutschen) vor.
2a/ Das Wort war mir bis jetzt unbekannt.
2b/ Das Wort habe ich schon gehört, habe aber noch nie selber benutzt.

Manchmal hatte ich auch Leute neue Wörter beigebracht, sog. Katkawörter. Tja, gerade jetzt fallen mir keine ein ;) Gute Ausrede, oder?

Vtip na dnes

Počas vojny vybehne zo zákopu vojak s bielou zástavou, rozbehne sa smerom k bojisku a kričí: Mier! Mier!
Iný vojak z nepriateľského zákopu na to hovorí: Veď mierim, len sa toľko nehýb! :)

Après..

Comment je vais faire mon examen? Je suis curieuse. J´espère! C´est (pas) grave.. Mais à partir de demain il n´y a que quatorze jours. Trop peu. J´imagine que j´aurais à la plage pour bagner tous les jours au lieu d´étudier. Peut-être après.

When a cup of milk is worth 200 euro

Well.. sounds strange, but I found out that in certain circumstances a cup of milk is really expensive.

Yesterday I spilled by accident a cup of milk over my laptop. Today I can throw it away. Now I understand why did I win the new one.

Anyone interested in buying a cool washed laptop? ;)

Der E.K. (halbjährlich)

Ich mag ihn ;)
Wir haben uns vor Weihnachten getroffen, es sind bald 2 Jahre. Zufällig. Unser Stammtisch fand in Münster statt, als uns ein Mann auf slowaksich ansprochen hat: Abend, Abend! Wir haben gedacht: Jaja, er hat ein paar Wörte gelernt, die er uns zeigen möchte ;)

Es hat sich herausgegeben, dass er auch ein Slowaker ist, der seit 5 Jahren in Hamburg wohnt. Kontakte ausgetauscht.

Als ich ein Praktikum in Hamburg gefunden habe, was auch ein Zufall war, haben wir uns nochmal getroffen. Und nochmal. Wegen Klavierspielen oder Bootrundfahrt. Wie auch immer. Schöne Zeit gehabt.

Heute, mit Verspätung von 1,5 Stunde haben wir uns wieder getroffen. Ursprünglich war es als eine Ablenkung vom Lernen gedacht. Vielmehr was es eine schöne Zeit mit viel Lachen (meistens meinerseits :) Ich freue mich schon auf die Noten, die ich bekomme.

Wir sehen uns wieder in einem halben Jahr. Oder früher?
