Swedish movie Evil (2003)

I saw a great movie. From Sweden. In Swedisch. With subtitles, of course ;)

It was about a guy whose stepfather mishandled him and as a counsequence he fighted cruelly with his schoolmates. That´s why no school wanted to educate him. So his mother sold all her heritage in order to have money for his education in a private prominent school.

The school was quite untypical, because the elder students had the right to give orders to the younger ones, so chicaning was expanding. Almost everything was allowed and when a younger student decided to defend or protect himself, it led many times to being expelled.

But this boy was strong and intelligent enough. He dared to resist and didn´t allowed them to humiliate himself. He was strong also mentally, because he had never stop thinking how to defeat the system which supported chicaning. He decided to fight against the human badness and malignity.

Since they could not break his soul, they attacked his friend and his girlfriend. Both of them quitted under pressure the school. The profs blamed him for not being able to protect his friends, although he couldn´t do anything. He was also tyrranized and forced to leave the school.

But in the final moment he decided not to give up and asked a lawyer for help. The school law shouldn´t have superiority over the law of the country and the law which protects human rights.

The experience from the school allowed him to have force to resist his stepfather. He gained a new self-confidence in his deeds. He experienced that he has to fight against the badness in people, because if no one does, the cruelty will gain control over the human beings.

I admired his handling, because it is not easy to stand up for good things against all around. We should not ignore bad deeds which confront us in our day-to-day life. Even if we think that there is a wall around us, we should not give up.

I didn´t saw the firt part of the movie, which is supposed to be a bit different from the part in the prominent school. But I still recommend it very strong. And now.. good night ;)
